The concert hall of Central Conservatory of Music was historically known as
the birthplace of Emperor GuangXu (Kuang-hsu, 光绪) of the Qing Dynasty.
Today, the no-frills concert hall of the best music conservatory in China
hosts regular concerts from a number of international guests, established
Chinese musicians playing both Chinese and Western instruments, and
students. The past musicians included Yehudi Menuhin, Luciano Pavarotti,
Placido Domingo, Isaac Stern, Yo-Yo Ma, Vladimir Ashkenazy, Seiji Ozawa,
Zubin Mehta and Carles Dutoit; and the orchestras included the Berlin
Philharmonic Orchestra, the Philadelphia Symphony Orchestra, the French
National Symphony Orchestra and the Israel philharmonic Orchestra. It’s the
ideal venue for a quick classical fix and you might spot a new virtuoso.
The Central Conservatory of Music is also the home of the EOS orchestra.

北京中央音乐学院
中央音乐学院建于1950年，坐落在北京原清醇王府旧址。由创建于上世纪二十年代到四十年代的原国立音乐学院、国立北平
艺术专科学校等六所院校的音乐系、科组合而成。1960年被定为国家重点高等学校，是目前全国艺术院校中唯一的一所国家
重点高校和“211工程”建设的院校。
中央音乐学院是一所培养高级专门音乐人才的单学科高等学府，现有音乐表演艺术、作曲与作曲技术理论和音乐学三个学科方
向，音乐学学科为国家重点学科。设有作曲系、音乐学系、指挥系、钢琴系、管弦系、声乐歌剧系、民乐系、音乐教育系、音
乐学研究所、音乐科技部、基础教育部、乐队学院、继续教育学院、现代远程音乐教育学院、社会音乐教育部、附属中学和小
学，已形成了具有教学、科研、艺术实践综合功能的、从附小、附中、大学本科直至硕士、博士研究生的多层次、较为完整的
