Li Yundi (Chinese: 李云迪)(born October 7, 1982) is a classical pianist. He is also
popularly known by the Western iteration of his name, Yundi Li. Born in Chongqing,
China, Li is most well known for being the youngest pianist to win the International
Frederick Chopin Piano Competition at the age of 18 in the year 2000. Li now
resides in Hong Kong, where he continues to give concerts with the Hong Kong
Philharmonic Orchestra.

be awarded First Prize in 15 years. At

重庆少儿手风琴比赛中获幼儿组第一名。七岁转学钢琴，启蒙于吴勇，九岁起师从但昭
义教授，开始接受严格的专业训练。1994年以第一名的成绩考入四川音乐学院附中，陆
续在国内外一系列钢琴比赛中崭露头角。1995年李云迪跟随但昭仪转读深圳艺术学校。
2000年10月，李云迪凭借《E小调协奏曲》夺得在波兰华沙举行的第十四届肖邦国际钢
琴比赛金奖，成为肖邦钢琴比赛70年来最年轻的获奖者，15年来第一个有缘获此大奖的
钢琴家，被誉为“钢琴神童”、“世界第一位音乐天才”。
