A haven for expats, journalists and literary types, the Bookworm has the best selection of English language books and magazines in Beijing and is often cheaper than Amazon. At present the only foreign-language bookshop in Beijing to rival the Bookworm, Chaterhouse is a bit more like visiting a typical Borders store in the West. It’s not particularly huge, but the shop nevertheless stocks a good selection of bestsellers, literary chlassics, crime, sport, cooking, history, popular psychology and business titles.
